With our busy lifestyles, our first instinct when we feel hungry is often to grab something to eat on the go. In addition to the nutritional value of a snack, we also need to consider its cariogenic impact.

  • Some fruits and vegetables are naturally acidic or sweet. So why not combine them with a piece of firm cheese? Cheese is a superfood for dental health because it promotes salivation, which helps neutralize oral pH.

Despite the acidity or sugar content of fruit, it remains an excellent choice. When eaten fresh and whole, it is not harmful to oral health because chewing stimulates salivation.

Recharge your metabolism by making informed choices. Keep in mind that even with an exemplary diet, flossing once a day and brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste are essential for maintaining good oral health.
