With our busy lifestyles, our first instinct when we feel hungry is often to grab something to eat on the go. In addition to the nutritional value of a snack, we also need to consider its cariogenic impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tooth decay is caused by bacteria that are naturally present in the mouth. They integrate into dental plaque and feed on the sugars we eat, promoting an acidic environment that is conducive to enamel demineralization.
